The cracks are starting to show

Pros

The people are truly amazing and the pay and benefits are good. The products are great and really do help schools change lives.

Cons

Where to start? The biggest problem is probably the fact that every department is overworked and backlogged. Growth has been fast and the company hasn't adequately scaled to match that growth. We are still using many of the same processes despite the fact that they are proving not to work. We keep investing time, energy, and resources into new initiatives just to abandon them a few months later. When I started the company truly lived its values, it really doesn't feel that way anymore.

-Amazing PTO -Competitive pay -Free food in office + catered meals often -Flexible work schedule -WFH opportunity when needed -Everyone is so kind -If you have any problems you can just chat with the person or your boss (really you can) -Meaningful work -Dynamic environment

Cons

-Small company? (not sure if this is a con, but might be to some people) -Once you start you will never want to leave

Pros

There are three things that differentiate a job from a career: 1. Pride in your work 2. Love for your team 3. Admiration of your Leadership This is a company that has all three in spades! When this company promises something, they deliver. When an employee voices an opinion, they are heard. When feedback is shared, it's taken seriously. Beyond the amazing health benefits, the ability to work from home, the generous PTO & 401k, the health and wellness program, and the free lunches that just seem to never end (cue the health and wellness program) this is a company that's a cut above. CEO, Gregg Scoresby, is a fantastic leader and recruiter of talent! Having the opportunity to work with him and not for him is the greatest differentiator in the fulfillment of our company mission.

Cons

The company is in a growth stage and as the company scales, there are processes that are scaling with it. This takes time, so be patient and open-minded. The company value, "We love what we do and fix what's broken" will be your guiding light as you enter this new chapter in your professional journey. The Interview and Hiring Process is well structured, albeit a little stressful, but that's true for any hiring opportunity. Leticia, Kaitlyn, and Alexia do an amazing job of shepherding you through each phase (Phone Interview > In-Person > Demo > Final Team Interview). Bonus Advice: The emails the People Ops Team will send you will outline EXACTLY how to nail each stage of your hiring journey. Just "showing up" will not see you advance to the next stage.
