We’re very disheartened to read this review. We know there’s nothing we can write here to make your past experience better, but please know we take comments like this seriously—and we elevate them to our executive leaders. This isn’t the CannonDesign we know and we will continue to work to ensure all employees are always treated with absolute respect from everyone.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us! If you haven’t already, we encourage you to have a conversation with your supervisor about your workload. Because our industry is so fast paced, we realize there’s always a lot going on, but we don’t want anyone to feel consumed with work or feel obligated to work excessive hours. It would also be good for you to share your salary thoughts with your supervisor. Our salaries are competitive and talking with your supervisor should provide more context and answer any questions you may have regarding pay. Thanks for contributing your talents to CannonDesign!

Pros

So many great opportunities. Design excellence is at the core of what CD stands for but most importantly, long lasting relationships with clients.

Cons

Internal processes add to the workload. It could feel like there is no freedom to make your own decisions.

Thanks so much for the feedback! You’re right about all the opportunities — we’re fortunate to get to work with some pretty amazing clients on some equally amazing projects. And of course, most importantly, we’re lucky to have truly amazing employees. Thanks for being a part of what makes CannonDesign so great. As for our internal processes, we’re sorry to hear they feel cumbersome at times. That’s not our intention. Because of our size, we’ll always need to have clear processes and standards in place for issues related to compliance, finance, contracts, IT, etc., but when it comes to the design process, there is much more flexibility; each project is different and we want each design solution to be wholly unique. Creative exploration doesn’t always follow one linear process, and we think that’s a really good thing. Again, thanks for being a CannonDesigner. We’re very lucky to get to call you a colleague.
