Pros

People are the reason… on the whole, employees want to support each other and coach / mentor to support their team. Work life balance is generally good and not expected to work overtime or weekends as a norm. They have a solid inclusive culture with several ERGs to provide a supportive environment. Hybrid work from home and office is normal and a great benefit.

Cons

Path to promotion can be vague, bonuses mostly defined by utilization with limited internal work recognized financially.

Thank you for your review and your hard work and leadership at CapTech! We are very proud of our supportive culture - as you pointed out, whether that is helping each other on projects, helping to train and mentor colleagues, or respecting outside commitments. If you'd ever like to discuss our promotion process or understand our incentive plans, I'd welcome the opportunity to connect! -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

Most of the people you work with are good and want to do good work.

Cons

Company culture has degraded resently. There is misrepresentation of information when hiring for example- 401k match is not included for bonuses, PTO includes the 8 holidays you should take off, most clients don't let you work the last two weeks of December so they almost require you to take that time off instead of doing a company wide shut down.

Thank you for acknowledging our great employees! I'd love the chance to speak with you regarding our benefits, as I we do include bonus dollars in our 401K match. While we do ask many of our CapTechers to wear multiple hats, from serving our clients to mentoring our people to helping with business development, our commitment to work/life flexibility is core to our culture. We feel this helps differentiate us within our field - I'd welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

CapTech really strives to live by their motto of being the best consulting company to work for and work with. * Pay is very competitive. * Work from home and flexible scheduling. * Consultants are typically given a choice or at least the option to decline before being placed on a new client engagement (somewhat dependent on the strength of the market/pipeline, obviously). * Project work is very technology forward with interesting business challenges * Great mix of younger talent and experienced consultants. * Hour requirements are much less than at other consulting firms. Timesheets at 45 hours or less are pretty much the norm.

Cons

* The culture suffered a big hit with covid and the market downturn in 2023. People generally work remotely and entertainment budgets were cut. So, it has been hard to network and get to know coworkers. However, the budget for events and networking has been restored for 2024, so hopefully this will be somewhat alleviated. * Not a con yet... but there is a new focus on "growth" which feels a bit forced. Historically, CapTech focused on quality and delivery. I think this mindset allowed for growth (if desired) just because we are putting out a good product.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the many reasons why CapTech is the best consulting firm to work for and with! We work hard to ensure our people are supported in a multitude of ways (compensation, benefits, resources, etc.) as they bring their whole selves to work each day and produce incredible work for our clients. Like so many companies, we faced our own headwinds in 2023, but we’re excited for the year ahead as we develop each other and grow the company, together. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
