Pros

Work from home is a wonderful benefit The PA leadership are good people Compensation is OK

Cons

The company core culture is being sacrificed for profits. More and more, the company leadership is focused on profits over people and recently made a large announcement as if it was no big deal that will change the core of the culture and brand of CapTech that made it a great place to work. Outside of the boring work, the dreaded potential of being dropped on bench, and the disjointed efforts of leadership to develop business, it's not a bad place to work.

Our response to each Glassdoor review is not to try to mollify feedback but to ensure you know we hear you and are taking your concerns seriously. Of course profits are important as they are the backbone of the company’s ability to grow and keep our CapTechers employed here. But, we feel strongly that our culture and core values are as meaningful as ever, and profit margins do not outweigh our commitment to our people. You are welcome to contact me directly as I’m always available to connect about your concerns so we can hopefully work through them together. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

-Culture, maybe? -Work from home

Cons

-Terrible compensation package compared to other firms (they say it is based on market research but it really isn't, just do the market research yourself and it is clear we are very underpaid) -Decent amount of PTO, BUT you are "dinged" if you actually take it (e.g., you won't get a higher bonus, which is extremely low compared to other firms anyways, AND if you are one of the unlucky ones placed on a client that requires you not to work on their holidays then you have no chance of getting this bonus) -They make you think they care about "Work Life Balance" and "Mental Health" but neither can be accomplished with the bonus structure; mental health is a struggle for a lot of consultants I have spoken to (you can try switching projects but most people I know have not had success, or they are too scared they will be looked at differently) -If you work 40 hours and value work life balance (like CapTech preaches) there is pretty much no way to get promoted regardless of how great your client work is (which is how you should get promoted since we are a consulting firm). 100% agree with so many of the other reviews that you have to do internal work and "play politics" to get promoted -"Good ole boy" water cooler office culture (we really need a management refresh, not a "brand" refresh) -They will throw you in a project without any support, regardless of your experience, just to get it staffed as quickly as possible (you can ask your AE or coach to help you transition but I haven't had success to date)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review although we are disheartened to read about some of these issues. To attract top talent, our compensation package, along with our traditional and extended suite of benefits, must be competitive with firms of our size. We work hard to provide an inclusive, supportive, and exciting environment for our consultants with projects across industries and clients who are leaders in their space. If you’d like to discuss specific details regarding any of your concerns, I’d be happy to provide info and guidance. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
