Pros

- Great culture internally, everyone is super nice, smart and communicative - Good sense of direction by leadership

Cons

- Salary is low for junior level employees - Bonus structure is flawed, where it's dependent only on utilization when that is out of your control much of the time - Not a lot of room for movement at least in junior positions if you want to switch clients (there are many clients with old techstacks and just boring work) - Harder to move up in the company if you want to just put your head down and work, you really have to be willing to contribute internally in a meaningful way if you want a promotion

Thank you for taking a moment to note our culture, our people, and our leadership team. We have incredible people, across all levels, driving efforts at CapTech and positioning us as the best firm to work for and with, in technology consulting. We want our consultants to be excited to get involved with internal efforts and contribute in meaningful ways to what makes this company special. Internal work should be a way to get to know more about the company and your colleagues and complement the work you do for clients. We feel confident everyone can find a way to get involved that feels right to them individually and supports their growth here. Work with your coach to find the right fit for you. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

Helpful people, low ego. You are typically only expected to bill 40 hours a week, which is great for consulting. WFH provides plenty of flexibility.

Cons

More opportunities for in-person engagement would be helpful.

Thank you for leaving your thoughts. We do like to think of ourselves as high talent and low ego as our people are approachable and available to each other to support learning and growth. While remaining flexible and supporting our clients as they need, we always encourage CapTechers to engage in in-person activities as it builds culture and connectivity. Don’t feel like you have to wait for an event, get together with your team in the office any time! -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

Having a job in this job market is the only pro

Cons

- Priorities shifted- compensation has been abysmal. They gave everyone a bump in salary to make themselves more competitive with the other consulting firms. We are still on the lower tier comparatively, but in the recent years, merit increases have been so low when they keep sponsoring golfers. - No company party this year, instead they're springing for an in office lunch! What about showing some employee appreciation? - Promotion process unclear- They keep saying promotions are 'lean' and there is a whole backlog of people going up for promotion. This is the 3rd round so we'll see how many people leave after this end of year round. Instead, they recognize those who schmooze their way up. - Focus on billable work but they keep rolling out required but useless programs to track client delivery. This is more work on those who have a team to manage.

Compensation is always evaluated to keep us competitive in the market and give us an opportunity to reward our people with increases and bonuses. We also offer extended benefits, beyond the traditional suite, to support our people in all areas of their life. Like many companies, CapTech faced challenges in 2023, and we made decisions to best navigate headwinds for the business to sustain in the market and lead us into a strong 2024. We look forward to what the new year holds for our clients, people, and the business.
