Pros

There are some great individuals that work there, but they leave quickly or get shown the door. Benefits are ok, pay is meh. They tried to bring in a new CEO to fix things, but no real change has occurred beneath the surface.

Cons

The employees that survive in this organization are the ones who have developed a habit of manipulative and controlling management techniques. Offering feedback even if substantiated often leads to retaliatory actions for many coworkers. Observed many good people get let go instead of decision makers and leaders that should have been held accountable. Another huge red flag - many coworkers report attempts to silence them in way of legal clauses that prevent discussing illicit activity they've witnessed during their employment in separation agreements. My Advice: Do your research and trust your gut, obviously don't just rely on this feedback alone. The high turnover and constant hiring should say enough which is why they prey on college hires & interns that don't understand their value and that there are better organizations to work for out there. CapTech spends considerable effort fighting the poor feedback by pushing current employees to leave favorable reviews, buying time from celebrity sports figures to create marketing posts (just check LinkedIn), and using a few token minorities to advertise that they are diverse. When in fact most of the organization is Caucasian, especially the Senior Leadership.

This is certainly a troubling review to read as it feels very inaccurate to all the incredible work being done by amazing people at CapTech. We hate that your experience has led to this review, but we’d like to offer our view on the points you noted. Our benefits and compensation package has been created to give our people a well-rounded offering, which is why we’ve introduced benefits such as Carrot Fertility, Modern Health, Fringe Benefits, and more. Companies with growth strategies know that early talent programs (interns and college hires) are a must-have in today’s market, but we are not valuing those programs above experienced hires with sought-after tech skill sets. Having both gives us experience at all levels and is a value add for our company. Our sports partnerships align with our branch of sports tech and marketing and are a natural fit for CapTech, not a marketing ploy. Diversity among our senior leaders is important, and we’re excited about how far we’ve come and are excited to continue to grow diverse leaders. We have a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging council here, along with Employee Resource Groups, that are driving true change at all levels of our organization. We encourage an open-door environment and welcome any CapTecher to raise their concerns to senior leaders, HR, etc. For anyone not comfortable going directly to leaders or our HR team, we offer an anonymous resource for assistance in raising concerns. If you’d like to discuss your thoughts further, I’d invite you to speak with me directly so I can learn more about your specific experiences. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

It is consulting so you will have the painpoints of that regarding the teams you have to be around and your experience will be as good as your project.

Thank you for taking a moment to leave your review. You are right, our leadership team is pretty incredible, and they care deeply about the growth of CapTech, which includes winning new work with exciting clients, as it means growth for the people of CapTech. Our new Employee Value Proposition, our existing Core Values, and the work of our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Council, along with Employee Resource Groups, give us roadmaps to help our culture grow with the business. We’re excited for the year ahead! -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
