Pros

- Caring about it's employees, spends lot of money on them - Close knot group of people - Best HRs in town - Excellent projects for core domain experts - Daily fruits and snacks at work ;)

Cons

- Limited .NET projects - Difficult to switch between internal engagements - The newly appointed India CEO is over-zealous and over-confident, though has excellent leadership qualities

Pros

Meritocracy - most companies claim to be a meritocracy, Capco actually is... employees are promoted when they are ready, not once they have done a certain amount of time in a role. Opportunities - I have had more opportunities and progressed more quickly at Capco than at any previous company due to the support and coaching I have been given. Culture - Capco has a friendly 'open door' culture - everyone is encouraged to network across levels and everyone is extremely approachable. Capco also has a huge variety of sporting and social clubs and has regular 'town hall' meetings to get all employees together. Innovative - Capco encourages innovation in all areas and if you have a good idea, you're encouraged to drive the project.

Cons

If you want someone else to take responsibility for your career, Capco is not the place for you - employees are provided with the support to drive and take responsibility for their own career but this style may not be for everyone.

Pros

It's hard to find positives in relation to my experience with Capo. During my time at the firm they hired a lot of people, many of these left after being deployed into roles that in many cases were just resource augmentation, a bit like a expensive contracting agency. In reality the main pro is that as this is a small firm they don't hold a large pool of people and thus you will be deployed onto a project quickly, unfortunately the roles are often a poor fit as they are driven by client demand rather than your skills and capabilities

Cons

The main con that I would highlight is the poor quality of management and leadership at Capco. Most of the leadership team are completely disconnected from the work force, they are very unable to understand the needs of their people and this is demonstrated by the number of people who join the firm and then leave within 12 months. I have worked in a number of industry and consulting jobs and I have never seen such a large turnover of staff, and I believe this is related to the very poor quality of both leadership and development. Training is of very poor quality , largely focused on induction / initial training and this fails to provide any form of ongoing development In summary you would really be better off as a contractor!
