Leadership Will Push You Till You Are Exhausted

Pros

The compensation was all right, and they paid on time. It was the only positive thing that I can recall experiencing here.

Cons

The leadership of the company is terrible about the work-life balance of employees. As a consultant, you are expected to put everyone else's needs before yours. You will be expected to work stressful and brutal hours and adjust to a poor work-life balance. There is no limit to how many changes the arrogant management wants you to make to accommodate their requests. So, avoid going the extra mile for them. Their expectations never end!

We are very disappointed to read about your experience of Capco. By its nature, consulting isn’t a 9-5 job, and there will be periods where consultants work longer hours to meet project and client deadlines. However, Capco is committed to ensuring that colleagues have a positive work-life balance overall, and we would encourage anyone who is working long hours for a sustained period, or who feels they need additional support, to reach out to their Coach or HR Business Partner to discuss. We also have a variety of support resources, and run events and initiatives, to support the mental and physical wellbeing of our colleagues on an ongoing basis.

Pros

There are good benefits/pay compared to other consulting firms; A fast learning curve is the only method here.

Cons

Very cliquey; if you're in the clique, you're a star; otherwise, you're a scar. Be prepared when on a project to be overworked until your last breath. ESG Project managers have little faith in the team and their ability to execute and are saying yes to the client's wildest requests for free. The only way to grow is through selling new projects or extensions, and no help is given to people outside the clique to be in a position to make sales.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoy many of the benefits of working at Capco. Regarding your other comments, all employees have a Coach as well as a Project Manager, to provide career support and guidance. If a colleague feels they need additional support then they are encouraged to reach out to their Coach, Client Partner or Domain/Capability Lead to discuss.
