      Pros

      the retirement plan is unmatched, 15% donated to you is nice and you don't pay the high fees that other do

      Cons

      too many cooks, too many bright people with nothing to do because the company is top heavy and overstaffed, cut the fat and challenge the workers and maybe see the glory days return

      Pros

      Calm, professional work environment. Great benefits. Strong investment team. Significant emphasis on the well being of each employee. Modern and comfortable campus work environments.

      Cons

      Very limited visibility to financial information since CG is a private company. In the absence of outside scrutiny, there were many inefficiencies. Network of long-time employees was often in a group-think mindset, which seemed to limit the company from being even better than it was. The investment professionals were great and the best in their field. However, employees in other departments were no better or worse than their peers at other companies.

      Good benefits, high calibre employees, excellent facilities and job resources, thoughtful approach to getting the work done, high ethical standards, still an industry leader

      Cons

      Rigid culture, expectations to "fit in" very high, acts like creativity is important, but what viewed as "right' is pretty narrow, culture has changed dramatically in recent years from being somewhat input driven to being very top-down
