Pros

Decent pay PTO isn’t tracked

Cons

Required to come in but traffic and parking is a nightmare You’re trapped on campus but horrible food Most importantly- don’t respond honestly to the “anonymous” survey. You’ll reap the repercussions. HR / AR is not there to support you - they will always choose the company. And if you have any kind of short term disability leave, if you are neurodivergent or not a cool white girl - at least in EA / Legal / C suite / corp strategy - you won’t last.

Pros

Flexibility of working from home.

Cons

Pathetic culture. Managers are the one who can either make or break your career here. If you are not in the good books, no matter how good you work, you will be gone. Took quick to judge individuals potential without providing them guidance. All of the work has to start from day 1 and you have to mend your own ways to get the work done. They don’t care if the data behind the deck is fudged, they will be happy if it satisfies their “intuition”. Performance ranking is a gimmick in this company.

Pros

Excellent pay Great benefits Far more customer centric than other banks Really intelligent coworkers I was able to advance my career in a direction I couldn’t have anywhere else.

Cons

I absolutely loved this job. Then another department merged with ours and we were regularly harassed because our system wasn’t exactly like the system they used before. Over the course of one year, the entire product and design teams were replaced. They removed the lead product manager completely, so we had junior associates reporting to a director who didn’t have time to develop them, much less understand what they’re working on. I spent a year of my life with a target on my back. I went from being a top performer, paid a substantial retention bonus, to having nothing I do be good enough. This was after completely redesigning our intent intake system, onboarding new PMs, coaching and developing them (due to lack of a manager), leading multiple tech teams, and actually releasing multiple features. Nothing was good enough and no one could tell me anything meaningful I could do to improve my performance (I did everything they suggested). Once I had a low rating at midyear, I was told it was impossible to pull myself to a strong at end of year and landed on a PIP. Halfway through my PIP, they told me they were going to fire me anyway, so I should take the package and leave. This job built me up, then stripped away my self worth. It really bothers me how many talented people they just threw away.
