Pros

Good people who want to do well. Ore reserves to last for many decades. Pinto Valley Mine is supported by a corporate Capstone team who want Pinto Valley to succeed. Safety record has improved dramatically. Good performance-based bonus program for people at all levels. 98% of Pinto Valley people work 12-hr shifts(working 7 days out of 14) or 10-hr shifts (work 4 days with 3-day weekends).

Cons

Older equipment in Processing needs careful (and costly) maintenance and a plan for replacement. Work culture has not yet become consistently aligned with company values: Deliver Results, Always Accountable, Work Responsibly, Execute with Excellence. Leaders need to step up with consistency and support of clear expectations and simple systems that allow good people to do good work.
