Pros

Strong Company with competitive compensation packages Demo Car Program Culture (when truly lived by all associates)* Fun and fast paced work environment Opportunity for advancement depending upon location

Cons

Changes are slow and poorly communicated Tenured associates are not properly compensated compared to new hires. An associate with 3+ years of experience may be paid the same as a new hire. Retail schedule, I need you here when I need you here mindset. One size fits all approach does not work when determining bonus structure. Comparing cross functional locations to traditional locations. I made 25K less in 2022 vs 2021 due to bonus changes.

Pros

CarMax is ICONIC because they preach and deliver integrity. CarMax executes putting people first, doing the right things winning together. CarMax supports diversity, family and honesty,

Cons

If I had to "nitpick" I wish sales managers had more flexible hours along with wish July 4th, Memorial Day and Labor Day was half days or off.
