Pros

Cardinal truly promotes Work/Life Balance, and they don't back down from that. Team Members are empowered to set their schedules and (for the most part) aren't contacted outside of that time unless there is a critical emergency. PTO is offered and encouraged. Growth Opportunities are wide in this company. After coming back for less than 30 days, I've already been asked what I want to do next and how team members can help to get me there. People invest in people here. Support is widespread. From Cell Teams to Ascend to Training happy hours and more - there's never a reason not to get the support you need. Compensation (happily average) - Cardinal has put a lot of work into compensation and they pay fairly in the market. The culture here is unmatched. I left for 2 years and just came back - and I returned for a reason. Cardinal has this secret sauce that nobody else has. DEI - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Cardinal is committed to these items and has vowed to keep these programs running strong. CV#1 - Do the right thing - ALL THE TIME!

Cons

Due to growth, there are a lot of shuffling pieces. Cardinal utilizes a lot of systems, and it can be a lot to manage. However - I can already see that they're taking feedback to make everything more manageable. Example: As I was leaving, the payment processing system was so difficult to utilize and understand. Upon my return - it's one of the easiest parts of my week. Other systems still need more love and fine-tuning, but the team is actively working on that.

Choosing to come back to Cardinal is probably the most authentic review I can imagine being left and I appreciate your doing it more than I can appropriately express. LFG!

Pros

I have a paying job!

Cons

Insurance is terrible but cheap, facility regional maintenance team is trash. Regional managers are trash. They are not ready for conventional and should stick to student housing. The pay is trash. Company culture is not the best!

Pros

If you have a strong Portfolio Manager and a good ownership group, you’ll enjoy it here. Pay is set by your ownership. Benefits are decent (not including PTO). We have access to a wealth of systems and vendors.

Cons

Executive leadership is very concerning. Our portfolio manager leadership seems super overworked which makes me think the executive team isn’t supporting them which inevitably trickles down. The culture is starting to falter a bit because everyone is becoming increasingly exhausted. We get 14 days of PTO which is better than other companies but it’s not good. We talk a lot about bringing our best selves to work but it’s tough when I never get to rest and I don’t get any sick time. Because we do so much 3rd party managed work, we sometimes get a bad reputation because we have some tough communities that lack funding and support.

Your advice here is thoughtful, measured, and impactful and I truly appreciate your leaving it here. It's not the easiest thing to hear, but necessary so again, thank you.
