Pros

The company despite all the changes that are in our industry and in our culture, they stay true to the core values that have centered them since day one. I go to work every day knowing that there are people at all levels of this company working hard and focused on a central mission of doing the right thing and being humble for our residents and our clients.

Cons

Change happens fast, what Cardinal looked like 2 years ago is not the same company today.

Having and knowing your back is had is the too often understated key to large scale success. I completely agree that the solution to any problem can be found through the conversation with those who are experiencing it the most. Keep using your voice like you are here and we're going to be unstoppable.

Pros

The organization cares about their team members and spends time on resources to see them grow and develop. There's impressive access to leadership even at a VP and Csuite level, specifically to Alex (CEO). From fellow friends in the industry, the benefits are top notch and highly competitive. But that is at the tradeoff at base pay which has been more difficult than in previous years. Flexible work locations are also a big plus. Overall, the work is interesting and the culture is mostly fun and engaging. The secret is always the team members. Everyone cares so much - about the work and each other. In the end, I've stayed for the peers and amazing team members at times when I've considered looking at different options. I don't know how sustainable that will be for the long term.

Cons

Capacity for team members & incoming deals continues to be a major issues that nobody seems willing or able to solve. The growth of the company is impressive but there's not a dedication to resources and team members are expected to make it work. Changes over the last year have caused instability. The organization is aware of major weaknesses but can't align on fixes or dedicate resources to fix up the problem areas. It's a tricky industry and not all the pieces are working together effectively.

Two big things stand out here in your review - Scalibility and innovation. Both are difficult concepts in any scenario, made more impactful in the people-facing/caring business we've all chosen. While we'll never get it completely right, using your voice like you are here is the best way to make sure that we don't lose ourselves along the path to overall success. Thanks for re-affirming that here.

4 Years & Counting!

Pros

This year I celebrated my 4 year anniversary with Cardinal and I can truly say this is one of the best places to work. I’ve met with countless team members across the company and everyone is always so supportive and resourceful. This year benefits added a new family forming lifetime benefit, and it was incredibly meaningful for those that need the extra assist, including myself.

Cons

Depending on the position you hold, or time of year within the different departments, work volume can increase incredibly fast which can throw off work life balance for a period of time.

Happy Anniversary! It's strange to think of where we were in 2019 versus today. A pandemic where we were essential but not actually classified as such, the beginnings of ops tech and AI, the changing landscape in product types....I could go on and on here. The one thing though that's remained consistent is the people like you who show up each day to do the right thing for others. Here's to 4 more and beyond!
