Pros

Strong benefits package, robust Employee Assistance Program

Cons

Employees scheduled for 8 hour shifts, 5 days a week, though outbound operation not engineered to process nightly volume in under 8 hours. Nightly shifts regularly surpass 12 hours, Poor Work/Life Balance, required to stay late, then arrive early next day for meetings/trainings, Training schedules do not accommodate night shift workers. Failure to embrace LEAN Six Sigma, multiple no value added processes for Cardinal Health in use for Depew Outbound. Warehouse Manager frequently telling supervisors KPI metrics are not important and that eyeballed decisions make the operations successful, Toxic Work Environment. Nepotism hires are commonplace. Selective enforcement for HR and EHS policies, long tenured employees are protected and given preferential treatment, newer employees have ACC cases filed on them instantly, tenured employees allowed to continue unprofessional behaviors. Failure to enforce EHS policies, multiple PIT Vehicle near misses on a nightly basis. No separation between PIT Vehicles and Pedestrians on Ship Dock, no 5S procedure.

Pros

It was a good company to work for.

Cons

Last year at employer was not 2021 - I worked for Cardinal Health a long time ago. I left on a good note; my position ended due to them moving to another state. I'm writing a review because I always leave a job on a good note in case I ever need them again, just the right thing to do. I found myself in a real bad situation, unemployed for 9 months. I applied for over 12 jobs at Cardinal Health and received rejection after rejection. I'm realizing just because you're loyal to a company does not mean they will be there for you in the future if you need them.
