Pros

Nice offices, a few leaders still care and there’s a cafeteria onsite if you’re at HQ.

Cons

It used to be a great place to work. Now CareSource has grown too fast for its own good. There are too few people actually doing the work with a top heavy executive layer. They are out of touch with front line issues and get rid of long time, high performing employees in favor of cheaper (less competent) substitutes. People hate working here but need a job. Think twice and look past the pie-in-the-sky pitch you’ll hear while interviewing. Pam Morris is totally out of touch and surrounds herself with “yes men”, the senior team lives in fear of her and nothing innovative or positive happens as a result.

Pros

Started out as amazing .. friendly, teamwork.. member/client centered

Cons

New CEO that is driven by his desire to be top dog CEO and go to a newly 100 million dollar profit in a year at the expense of their staff telling overtime is basically mandatory and the needs of the members are now secondary to the CEO’s goal. ODM should be proud . People are quitting left and right

Pros

My team was always willing to help out, I loved getting to make a difference in members lives. I really hope the team leads and management have changed the environment and start listening to the case managers judgement calls on what's best for the members. They offer a great bonus program, however, making it increasingly difficult to qualify for in 2025.

Cons

I am not one to complain, never have had a problem with anyone at work, or have had trouble meeting expectations for this job or previous jobs, however, I feel a need to caution potential hires. I suggest asking questions in the interview and asking to shadow the other case managers before accepting this job to ensure changes have occurred in management and job expectations. I believe Care Management at Caresource has the potential to be a great job/ career path (just currently have a few bad apples in management/ needs better support for the employees and the members they serve.) My last year working as a care manager at Caresource was painted with toxic management and extreme micromanaging. Within the last year, my job role began to become a call center versus true case management. Many of us felt like our clinical judgement wasn't appreciated. The job focus switched from the member to productivity and explaining any 20 minute gaps within your call history. I started to suffer from extreme anxiety/ my own mental health. I know two of my coworkers were put on high blood pressure medications and anxiety medications due to the work load. Many of us discussed these concerns to HR because we believed we weren't doing what was best for the members anymore and nothing happened other being called out for it by the team leads and managers. Several case managers left all around the same time as me due to the change in job expectation/ role.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We take these claims very seriously and have shared your review with the appropriate teams. We encourage each of our employees to use our reporting options, including our anonymous ethics hotline, if they feel that something isn’t right so our teams can investigate their experience and find a solution. We also want each of our employees to feel safe and valued which is why we prioritize having mental health resources available to all employees, like Lyra Health and Vitality.
