Corruption and Favoritism in Leadership

Pros

Good product Initial founders of company actually care about education and about students

Cons

Leadership team does not know what they are doing and are constantly promoting unqualified people into positions of power. Lack of clear communication and transparency with employees around compensation and promotions. Very clearly biased culture and the people who receive good performance reviews and promotions are those who know how to make management like them and become favorites, despite being completely unqualified or honest.

Great Company, subpar management.

Excellent team oriented culture, great for younger people looking to spring into Education Tech.

Cons

Management is extremely bias and will show favoritism. At times very unorganized and sporadic.

Cons

In 2022, CL hired an influx of African Americans for their urban accounts. CL ALWAYS promotes the majority and will micromanage, bully, and ignore minority complaints. Many of the RVPs and Directors are Caucasian women that make bias commentary (hair texture, Mason Dixon, then (referring to black staff). I have a major issue with the DEI efforts to help the new minority candidates they hired
