Pros

Money, and that's all plain and simple.

Cons

No work, home balance. Terrible executive level leadership. They do not want to hire enough help, they are cutting real training time for new people they do hire, and cross training is out of the question. And the washout / quit rate of new hires is high. And a lot of the most experienced long time employees and managers have left do to the treatment they receive from executive management and being worked into the ground trying to do the work of two or three people and its never enough.

Pros

Carpenter has a lot of potential. I worked in the Dynamet facility which is not located at the corporate headquarters. I enjoyed working with some of the people, and felt that the company needs more direction to be successful. You are always busy and there are many areas that can be easily improved for great benefits.

Cons

The leadership is very difficult to work with. There is a clear rift between the "union" and office employees making working with both teams very hard. One particular financial executive is very difficult to work with and if you work for him everyone sees you in a negative light. You will be promised things to get this job that won't be true. The company will not invest any money in the necessary technology to complete this job correctly. There is absolutely no way to export journals for reconciliation. Good luck.
