      Management promotes their friends. It's not just the old boy network, it's the old girl network even more. Management's method of staying in power is to pretend they know everything and then pushing the work down to people they could care less about and giving their buddies the easy high profile work. Repeated loyalty and diligence is not rewarded. Some of the managers ignore emails when being asked important work-related questions. you need to hunt them down to try to get them face to face to pull them away from looking up stories about the Yankees. If you are a male and have a female boss, watch out, they only promote their buddies.
