Pros

Most of the people you interact with on a day to day basis are amazing. The manager is awesome, he is the best manager I have ever had. One of the greatest things about the Help Desk is it is nearly impossible to get fired. Just show up to work on time and you are set.

Cons

HR tries to control everything you do. You have to walk on egg shells about what you say or they will start an "investigation" on you. The pay is terrible for what you do. Raises are not something you earn. I was told by HR "You knew what you were getting paid when you started." She was referring too me asking about a 1 year anniversary raise. So do not expect a raise while you are here. HR has told myself and others that pay raises are negotiable, after the they have denied you. HR's way to negotiation is to tell you no, it is their way or not at all. It has taken no less than 2 months for any type of position change or hiring process. We've had many great candidates for a position here but they deny the job because the process takes too long. For instance we had a Supervisor position that took 6 months to fill and this is just an entry level management position. No communication from our Store Systems support. This group is what the POS Help desk refers to as Level 2. We've sent multiple emails on multiple occasions and they do not reply. Generally they only reply if our Director gets involved. With in that group is our New Store Installs group, they generally have to ask us for assistance and give us condescending attitude when they do ask for help.

Pros

Any one that has good sense, believes in efficiency, and wants to get things done will stand out like a sore thumb. Yes I mean that as a good thing.

Cons

There are so many people who have been at the this company for so long that are caught up in the way they always did things that it will be so much bureaucratic red tape that good new people don't stay very long.
