Pros

Everyone has been very welcoming since i joined. The team work is excellent and what you would expect when trying to meet our client's high expectations. I love working with other high-performers.

Cons

New-hire onboarding/training/orientation was spotty upon hire. Would have liked a bit more "hands on" approach at least initially. Some HR processes are a bit immature, but are evolving in a positive way.

Pros

Castellan is the merger of three companies (Assurance Software, Avalution and Clearview/BisWeb). Those mergers too place over the last 3 years and have resulted in significant change. Each of these business existed for nearly 15 years priority joining forces. At the same time, management and the private equity owners are focused on integrating the companies and driving growth. From an employees - the company is increasingly focused on exiting people who can't/wont work for a growth company and replacing them with folks who are growth minded. If you're a top performer and like being challenged, that is really welcome to see. For some people that have been around for a while, it's pretty scary. So overall - the pros are that the company is growth oriented, and really focused on doing right by our existing customers (whom are spread across 3 different platforms).

Cons

There is a high degree of change. There are still a few pockets of folks that probably aren't right for our growth oriented future (but those are shrinking quickly). Management has been getting better at communicating where we are going and why.
