This is an opportunity to change an industry and bring technology to one of the last facets of business operating sans 21st Century software. Your co-workers are well-educated, passionate and transparent. Strong leadership, great technology, huge market opportunity.

Cons

We are pushing into markets that can be slow to change their approach to business. If you are looking for a sales role that consists of answering blind RFPs in a second or third generation technology replacement market, this is not the company for you.

One of the best pieces of career advice I have ever been given is to put yourself in the path of growth. Healthcare is a dynamic market in the midst of on-going change and disruption. This disruption has created a huge opportunity that Castlight is poised to take advantage of. Leadership at Castlight is experienced, strong, and innovative.

Cons

Managing through change and growth is always challenging. The company is best suited for individuals who embrace a start-up culture within a public company. Everything is not perfect.

Pros

Castlight is the best of both worlds - the vibe of a start up with the resources and fiscal capabilities of a newly coined public company. A very compelling business proposition = >10% of Fortune 500 companies as customers (only 6 years after the company was founded).

Cons

Since CSLT has the vibe of a start up, it is a very creative, fast paced, challenging environment that's not for everybody. If you're from a large software development firm where you're operating in "maintenance" mode, you may not appreciate this environment. However, if you like building a business with ample resources and the freedom to operate/think independently, you will find working at CSLT to be a full on rewarding experience.
