Pros

Castlight is really trying to do something impactful in the healthcare technology industry and it feels really inspiring to be a part of it. The people I work with are fantastic and extremely talented. The problems we get to think about are tough and intellectually challenging.

Cons

The lifestyle is not sustainable, the pay is significantly below market and there are very few perks. Not great clear upward career trajectory.

Very passionate team committed to achieving the company's mission and improving healthcare in the US. Very fair compensation and opportunities for promotions are available because of the company's growth. Leadership team is held accountable to the employees and is transparent in their views and plans for the company.

Cons

Still a young company that doesn't have processes in place for everything, but things seem to be improving quickly since the IPO

Pros

Castlight is a terrific company. A mission-driven company doing important work to transform how Americans engage in health care. You get to work with smart people in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. The company is just starting to make a big impact across the US. It's a very exciting time to be here.

Cons

The speed at which things move and, sometimes, pivot, is rapid. Be prepared to always bring your A game to keep up. We also have some growing pains that come with a successful tech company moving to the next level of size and sophistication. For example, we're in tight work quarters and communication within the company can be improved. That said, these items are pretty typical for an emerging growth company and will sort themselves out.
