      Cat is a great learning opportunity with plenty of resources, and the compensation is very competitive.

      Competitive benefits package - better than much of industry Good work environment - people are generally amiable and friendly, with a relaxed work environment, though this varies by group

      Cons

      Decreasing interest in employee welfare - between temporary layoffs, new merit based rating systems that are rigidly designed to pay employees less, declining promotion rates, and penny pinching cuts by upper management on small but vital things while exorbitant waste occurs on large things, the company is headed in the wrong direction fast Time with company, rather than merit based promotion structure, makes it challenging for an ambitious young person to move up relative to his peers no matter how talented

      Great benefits and branding.

      Cons

      Extremely inefficient in organizational processes. About 10 years behind. Too many unneeded employees, and impossible for your voice to be heard. Your intellect is not needed or heard. You are a number and will be lost in the constant changes while they struggle to remain on top. Trial and error instead of planning.
