Pros

Catholic Charities CYO is a great organization Founded in 1907 and rooted in our faith traditions of charity and justice, Catholic Charities supports families, aging adults and adults with disabilities, and youth through social services and opportunities for healthy growth and development.

Cons

The case managers who work with the families the organization houses are barely being paid above the client subsidy amount.

Cons

- Poor management from the CEO to the lowest level leader - Gossiping and lying is accepted and encouraged - Social cliques - High turnover - HR does not know how to do their job, and does not uphold all employees to HR policies or standards - HR witnessed verbal abuse and inappropriate comments made by a manager to their employee and did not intervene - Push employees out of job if not liked - Management does not want employees to learn, grow, and advance. Management /Leadership is very insecure, jealous, and power hungry - Leadership accepts toxic behavior from employees rather than attempting to fix the issue - Do not waste your talent and time here - Not a healthy work environment - Do not trust anyone that works at this location

Pros

Nothing to add, to be honest. Sometimes we could take expired food from the food pantry?

Cons

Other case managers weren’t really friendly and seemed to be gone a lot. Our office space had a lot of gnats, it was gross. Pay wasn’t great. The supervisor, who was actually supposed to be in charge of another location, was really mean and cutthroat. She fired someone for being snippy in a group email when we were desperately needing more case managers because the rest of us had so many cases that we were working off the clock and calling phone calls “visits.” Our location fell apart because no one wanted to work here.
