Pros

You will learn a lot about the heart.

Cons

Certain floors get preferential treatment and if you are not fortunate to work on one of them the job tends to be a bit more demanding. Also, patient to nurse ratio is a bit high. 6-8 very sick telemetry patients can be extremely difficult to manage and at times unsafe.

Pros

Great job to break into the industry with.

Cons

After getting initial experience, there is absolutely no reason to stay. CHSLI does not have Project Management, and refuses to adhere to any PMO principals; there is no accountability or direction. Some of the nastiest people I've met professionally and personally are unfortunately hired by CHSLI. Moreover, money is hemorrhaging year-over-year, and a prognosis for growth looks negative. This is coming from someone who has been at CHSLI for over five years.
