Pros

Young and fun place to work. Work hard, play hard attitude. If you make it at Cbeyond you can make it anywhere. You are compensated for hard work.

Cons

Markets are over saturated with too many reps in each market. Cold calling and micromanagement are key to their sales success in each market.

Pros

Cbeyond is a place where if you work both smartly, and diligently, you will see results for your efforts. Squeaky wheels get greased....and sometimes promoted. This is a place in which one's efforts can be guaged by results, but patience will be a necessary evil. The pay is decent...but every employee- for every company, will say that they are not paid well enough, right? Cbeyond is selling a product that is revolutionary in the telecom world... it is a product that is darned near, too good to be true. This is a company that cares about it's customers; and cares about doing the right thing. If there is an expectation that is misset to a customer, Cbeyond will still honor the expectation, so long as it is within feasible means. A voice by all employees! This company listens to it's employees... and acts upon the majority. No, there is no "voting" per se... but the company stands by it's employees and gives them a chance to make a difference, as it relates to the customer and the employee. Jim Geiger (the DUDE who started Cbeyond) strted a company with a very good vision... if the employees follow the vision, they will not only succeed, but they will help the company succeed... this means that each employee has the chance to be a part of the success... or...well... they can work at Burger King. TRUE ENTREPRENEURIALISM!

Cons

A bit cliquish... but tollerable. A bit conservative on risks, as they pertain to new business ideas and stuff "outside the box". The decision process is it's own enemy...Cbeyond was founded, very similarly on the same values as America- ask for forgiveness before permission. Now Cbeyond seems to have gone the way of a battered wife who needs affirmation prior to moving an inch... Promotion from within needs to be evaluated a bit more cloesly. It's not always a good idea to allow the person who was promoted by the perosn who was promoted by the person who was promoted, to promote.... there needs to be checks and balances for promotion..not just a title. There seems to be a bug- a negative bug, within the company, and the bug needs to be squashed. Folks are "just doing their job" when they should be thinking freely. THis was a company founded on entrepreneurialship, afterall!
