Pros
Yes, it's 100% true that this company has had many ups and downs due to past mismanagement, and yes, this company, like many others in 2020, had to go through a restructuring in order to weather the pandemic.
But after all of the turmoil, I will say that the current leadership team is one of the best I've ever worked with. Not only are they incredibly sharp at managing the business, they are also genuinely good people. What I mean by that is there is zero ego involved, zero hidden agendas, 100% honest and direct communication, and 1,000,000% desire to make this a great company. That's what you want from your leaders, people who will treat you like adults, drive and inspire you to rise to the challenge, and at the end of the day, help you create something that you can be proud of.
Is it perfect? Of course not, literally no company is. But there is a clearly defined path to success? Absolutely.
I know there are many who have not had a great experience with this company in the past, and their reviews should absolutely be acknowledged. But the Cedar Electronics of 2021 is not at all the same company from 2016 or even 2019. I am speaking honestly when I say this is a great company to work for and that I'm proud to be a part of it.
Cons
Not every process is defined, and sometimes, processes don't exist. That's a challenge and an opportunity.
We're essentially a startup, so figuring out solutions to puzzles is part of the day-to-day experience. That requires a certain kind of personality for which not everyone is suited.
While we get a decent PTO benefit, we could use a few more paid holidays.
Having worked remotely for a year, doing more structured team building events could help build camaraderie.
