      Celanese is a very decent company to work for.

      Pros

      Company has done an excellent job of hiring and retaining smart, qualified individuals. They work together as a team (very true for IT staff). Strive to be in markets where they are number one or number two in their industries. Not afraid to make changes for improvement.

      Cons

      2009 was a difficult year for the company. Many people were let go and business sites were selected for closure. Not an indictment on Celanese but more on the major industries they serve (automotive and housing).

      Pros

      It's a very political work place. Lack of communication. In some areas, management does have necessary skillsets for their jobs.

      Cons

      It's a well paid company. Have work life balance most of the time. Good benefit and nice people working there.
