Pros

Plenty of overtime if you want it. Easy to give away if you don't. Floating holidays to use as time off or to work is nice.

Cons

Company has increasingly pushed the "woke" agenda. Hiring by gender and racial criteria is plainly obvious. Homosexual/transsexual support is pushed. Front page images on company website of gay couples and gay discussions is not uncommon. Pride groups and events on site is not uncommon. Company has "moved to the core" in recent years but this has never been clearly defined and has only resulted in more bloat. Daily routines have become complicated. Job is good but excess procedures add no value. Additional layers of management have been added, yet no good seems to have come from it. Confusion has been the bigger outcome. Too many chiefs. It seems these extra positions are created to make room for gender/racial quotas.

Pros

Everyone outside of I.T. is very good and the job is easy paycheck at least.

Cons

Poor leadership and you are treated basically as a contractor. They will offer competitive salary at first but promotions and raises are basically non existent.

Good company for women

Pros

Excellent diversity for women; may vary by location but what I was was 50% females in leadership positions, including technical/business jobs. They are also working to improve ethnic minority representation -- far better at Celanese than at other firms!!! I would highly recommend this firm to any woman interested in a job with a science / tech leader.

Cons

politics, and sales depends on three things: Timing, Territory, Talent and in that order. Some senior leadership changes include nepotism (what I saw)...and hiring of friends rather than moving people up the chain from inside. But the pay, benefits, coworkers, etc....far outweigh this for now.
