Toxic Department Head

Pros

Good benefits. Political environment. Shifting priorities.

Cons

Elevating a man to department head with a toxic management style and self serving priorities has created broad dissatisfaction. His limited skill-set pushes him to over-extend his team to compensate for his deficiencies and inadequacies infected with his sense of self-entitlement.

Pros

free coffee, soft drinks and fruit, promiscuity is highly rewarded here. If you are in an impoverished far east European country you stand a good chance they will provide you a work Visa and ship you to the United States. Declining benefit package, same as the rest Corp America has to offer. If you like constant change this is the place for you. Every day business rules are changed.

Cons

Politics is all this place is about, never mind your skill sets. Customs needs to seriously audit this place. Half their workforce is in the US on a bucket work Visa yet these are jobs Americans could easily hold Blatant disregard to US laws and not just Immigration . They preach SOX controls this and integrity that and honestly, hands down this place is the most crooked, unethical employer I have ever had in my career.

Mediocre Company

Pros

Great benefits. Pay is above average. Constant social events for employees. Progressive HR policies. Free Keurig coffee and soft drinks. Work life balance exists since everyone gets a laptop at corporate. CEO is great, just don't think he really knows what is going on in the trenches. Work is extremely easy, but high volume.

Cons

Sad to say I don't disagree with all of the bad reviews on here. Extremely bureacratic. People are promoted into manegerial roles and have never had experience in the line of work they will be managing. I saw many talented people leave because they posed a threat to their upper management or they were cheated by politics. Not a good sign when the first week of work here I am told by everyone that the only way to move up is to network and never challenge management. There are many comments about the changes being made. This will never change. Constant pressure for cost reduction, so managers will constantly "improve" strategies to try to show they have value. Even if it means fixing something that is not broken.
