Pros

Steady employment, clear expectations, sometimes interesting

Cons

Most staff are fully remote so you never see anyone - though that could be a pro for some. Company is fully focused on metrics (esp. 'editorial speed'), so it feels lack luster and uninspiring. You spend a lot of time begging professors to review for free, even though the company is highly profitable.
