Pros

Constant interactions with researchers and being involved in publishing the latest, most exciting scientific research means your job is never boring. The people are also great; Cell Press editors and staff are very friendly, intelligent people. There are lots of opportunities to move within the company and to broader Elsevier jobs.

Cons

Editors, who must have a Ph.D. and usually post-doc experience, are severely underpaid given their higher education expertise and the strong technical and interpersonal skills they are required to have. Granted this is not just a Cell Press problem, but a scientific publishing problem in general. Additionally, since 2020 all workers have been fully remote and there is little community or efforts to create community.
