Pros

My colleagues were extremely professional, brilliant, and always friendly.

Cons

Compensation is in line with publishing (read: not wonderful) and the benefits packages got consistently worse over the years. Then again, this seems to be a trend across most American businesses.

Pros

Great people. Extremely flexible work schedule.

Cons

Persistent "us vs. them" mentality with parent company Elsevier. Senior Management often scapegoats "hard" decisions and unpopular policy on higher-ups and then get defensive when asked about it. Extremely busy schedule. Also, Cell Press is far behind most companies when it comes to technology.

Pros

Great work benefits and summer hours and company events.

Cons

Isolating; interface on computer. Office is quiet and people keep to themselves.
