Pros

decent entry level sales experience, mask it as verizon wireless. with the right wording in a resume, you can actually make this job reputable. i use "job" in the most lose sense. you do get a chance to work lots of hours, ask for the sale, represent a great product, and network with your customers.

Cons

terrible management, no opportunities for growth, zero benefits. 100% commission based with fear of charge backs 6 months later. terrible price matching with verizon corporate. did i mention no benefits? the management is truly numbers driven without regard as to how the numbers were obtained. you are forced to work in various locations so developing client rapport is almost non existent unless you work in a mall and always see the same mall people.

Pros

Most of the other salesman have a good sense of humor in the face of torment and scare tactics

Cons

100% commission job with a draw system, no company provided attire (but if you are not in dress code you will be punished) there are multiple systems in place that if you don't hit the goals that they want they will strip you of the ability to make any commission on your sales. When you first get hired they sneakily slip in a "non-sue" agreement into the new hire paperwork so you can't sue them for breaking multiple labor laws. The scheduling for your shifts are based on a "draft schedule" where the top salesmen get to draft first and nobody ever has a set schedule. And the commission structure is paid out 45 after the end of the month because they wait for verizon to cut them a check that they in turn give to you. You make maybe 300-400 dollars (on draw that u have to pay back) per week until you're two months in and that's if you can manage to break 2400 worth of commission in your first month... And as an icing on the cake. The people put in charge of training you how to do your job are extremely under qualified and too busy trying to chase their own paychecks. This company is a trap that invests $0 in its employees but expects the world...
