Deceptive selling encouraged

Pros

Eligible for discounted Verizon cellular service. Opportunity to exceed $100k yearly if you have no morals.

Cons

Deceptive selling is encouraged. In order to maximize your earnings you are encouraged to sell a 2+ year old Motorola phone at triple the cost you can buy it for on Amazon. You work at different locations depending on the day of the week and your schedule is determined by a draft system on a quarterly basis with only the top selling reps receiving a decent schedule. Daily inventory that results in employees being charged for missing inventory (even if the inventory was removed by floor support). No PTO. You often have to monetarily bribe fellow employees in order to arrange time off. Sick and emergency time off is not allowed without a doctor's excuse or a doctor's excuse for a family member. This company is so petty that the thermostats for each location are controlled remotely and you have to text one of two people in order to have them adjusted. This position is commission only which means you get paid absolutely nothing for spending hours of your time providing tech support and accepting bill payments, and if that's your unlucky "swing" you are forced back to the bottom of rotation of several employees for your next potential sales opportunity. The constant turnover rate is indicative by the monthly new recruits who are training.

Pros

Central Florida is the worst market to work for. Go anywhere but here

Cons

They don’t care if you can pay your rent or car payment. This job is for 15-year-old and under you have to play Politics in order to advance if you don’t try to get in good with the proper channels You’ll be made an example of. I’ve worked for the company for Eight years and I’ve been out in Central Florida for the last two years. The worst treatment experience that I’ve ever had happened in central Florida is horrible. They’re going to find any way possible to pay you as little as possible. They say it’s important that you make a great paycheck, but they blame you in your performance if you didn’t make enough money to provide for your family stacking the cards and hopefully they don’t dislike you a little bit that is happening.

Pros

There are no pros for me.

Cons

You do inventory every morning. I have no idea why cause sh*t is always missing and they charge you out for it if it was missing the day you did inventory. They never check the cameras or care to see what bad employees they have, they just charge you instead. Customer trades that you’ve dropped in a safe will just go missing and they’ll say you never dropped it in the safe and want to charge you for it. Employees try to take advantage of customers to make whatever sale they can because it’s 100% commission. You get paid hourly every 2 weeks and 1 commission check in the middle of the month. You have to make more in your commission than hourly to actually make a commissions check. They say full time but it’s a draft schedule and they go through each employee one by one to pick a shift of that week till they get back to the top again. If all shifts are taken before it gets back to you then you could be stuck with 24 or so. They always have someone that stands over your shoulder or pushes things on customers when they’ve already said no. Management will tell you to hurry up (while you’re with a customer!) to get to the next customer, as if you didn’t know the store was busy and people are waiting. They make you do outbound calls sometimes every day. Your coworkers will steal your sales or take your customer when it’s your turn all the time. They have an insane amount of meetings and they want you to get on video meetings even on your already scheduled day off.
