Great team, stressful job.

Pros

The coworkers literally made the job survivable. Made some great connections there.

Cons

The pay was far below industry standard and senior level work loads were expected from every developer, while paying below the industry standard wages for every level. The expected hours were astronomical at times and contributed to an unmanageable work-life balance. Management rarely backed up staff with clients, causing a stressful development and training cycle. Lack of training for the job you are expected to perform (train clients, develop new clients, support, etc.) and lack of accessible resources to spend time learning. The location in a small town did not help.

As a small, but rapidly growing company, we continuously look for ways to improve. We are committed to creating a comfortable, transparent and collaborative environment for all our employees. We have many tools and resources to help our staff and if there is anything missing, our door is always open - let us know what you need. We want our work family to know they have our support to succeed in their role. Regarding our location, we feel it is to our advantage! There is no need to fight traffic or travel through tunnels to get to work. However, we understand it is not for everyone.

Great coworkers but terrible ownership

Pros

Great coworkers. Everyone was nice to work with and friendly, and the only good thing about the company.

Cons

Ownership underpays employees and requires 60 hour work weeks from employees to make a 40 work week income while they show up late and leave early. They are unprofessional, rude and demeaning towards staff.

At times, a growing company means a lot of hard work. We understand a small business setting is not for everyone. At CemSites, our intention is to make it a great place to work. Great company with a lot of potential

Pros

Coworkers and bosses were really nice people. Great personalities and a lot of passion towards the career they are doing. The software is literally the best in the death-care industry as we offer a lot of perks that our competitors do not have. The office is located in Perryopolis, PA which is a great location for anyone who lives outside and does not want to travel into the Pittsburgh area. Also, a great opportunity for anyone right of college looking for entry level work and for anyone who is looking to get out of the corporate work atmosphere.

Cons

It's a cold contacting sales job. The career became a challenge over time as I became burnt out and unable to overcome basic obstacles and mental blocks. Also, earning what I wanted to earn was hard to do because sales and results were inconsistent. Sometimes, I was inconsistent.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are incredibly proud of where we are today - we have invested a lot of time and love into our business. It is a very exciting time, watching our business double and even triple over the years. Although we continue to incorporate new marketing activities, there are times where cold calling is a must – as it is in most business settings. We do our best to support our sales team, creating new materials to help them succeed. We have great things to come in the future as we keep getting better.
