While some of our work is seasonal and activity increases during back-to-school, work-life balance is a priority and we respect employee’s personal lives. We work hard to create a culture where employees feel valued, can bring their authentic selves to work, and feel comfortable being candid with their managers. I am truly saddened to hear that this hasn’t been your experience and am concerned that you are being asked to falsify your timesheet. We take these claims very seriously and I encourage you to reach out to me directly so that I can address this issue. Regarding compensation, our HR department closely analyzes the market to provide fair compensation and we strive to offer competitive, equitable programs that recognize and reward strong performance. Employee growth and development is a priority – we’ve expanded our programs over the past year and continue to invest in this area. We realize we aren’t perfect, and recognize that Cengage Group may not be the right fit for everyone, but authenticity is important to us; all stories and sentiments shared by employees and customers in our marketing materials come from them directly.
