Pros

Good benefits, good vacation/sick accrual, flexibility. Also for a company that provides services to individuals with disabilities they offer far better pay than other private providers that are a "for profit" company. When rates increased for the providers CHS provided raises to their staff--something other private agencies have not done.

Cons

When working direct care the flexibility of hours is just not able to be provided--this is a given with the line of work. work/life balance for staff working in direct care is difficult to maintain. In some departments, management does not always communicate the best.

Pros

From my experience this agency is very employee-centric. They are willing to listen and take employee ideas and concerns and put action into changing policies that aren't working for everyone.

Cons

During this time CHS has grown a lot so while moving into new procedures and policies it is sometimes hard to keep up with all of the changes.
