Pros

The work is interesting due to the type of patients you see. Most everyone is a veteran healthcare worker so flows well

Cons

Staffing is so bad they make nurses work 7 days a week Management had a do not care attitude and it’s just not pleasant place to try and work

Pros

There are many things that are good about working for this company, but the one thing that I look forward to is working with the clients and hearing the change they are willing to make.

Cons

Communication from my immediate supervisor to the top is horrible. I feel as if this companies only concern is there bottom line. I am a substance abuse counselor and with the pandemic and our program being shut down, the company has us doing temperature checks. This is just one of the many things I disagree with that this company has done in the 8 months I have worked for them. They won the contract in April but I have worked in this facility since last year.

Pros

Full-time job with pay and benefits. There's always more than enough work to do to keep busy. Paid holidays off and on site training.

Cons

There's no room for growth as a clinician working in the prison. You have to have a PhD in psychology to advance to a senior level position. In every other private sector job, having a Masters degree and being licensed is sufficient enough. Haven't had a raise prior to them taking over the contract where I'm at and they didn't give anyone raises coming through the door. You have to work very hard for little money while senior level staff make 2x the salary doing half the work. The moral amongst the onsite senior level staff is low and the people who are in corporate are far removed from the day to day stressor of employees who are unable to trust any of the managers. I guess this is standard no matter where a person is employed.
