Pros

HSA, wellness program, talented employees/colleagues make work enjoyable, CEO has an open door policy to make himself available to anyone in the company and seems to genuinely care about employees and their families.

Cons

During my time at Cerium Networks, I experienced a range of issues that led me to conclude that I would not recommend working there unless significant changes are made to senior leadership. While the company has a talented and fun team of employees, it is overshadowed by poor incompetent leadership and a lack of follow-through. One of the biggest issues I experienced was the regular promises made by the company that were never kept, such as agreeing to pay bonuses but then cutting them without warning and setting goals for promotion opportunities only for them to never materialize. This lack of transparency and consistency erodes employee trust and morale. Additionally, the PTO plan and employer match policies are lacking and can be frustrating for employees. The CEO is proactive and engaged with employees and clients, which is a positive aspect of the company. However, the lack of strategic planning and direction from other senior leaders has resulted in a confusing and frustrating workplace culture. In conclusion, I would not recommend working at Cerium Networks unless changes in sales senior leadership and middle management are made. While the company has potential, it will not be fully realized until a more strategic and transparent and competent leadership team is in place.

Pros

From the moment I walked in the door, management have invested in me to develop my skills, provide me opportunities for growth, and helped me determine the path forward in the industry that makes the most sense for me. The senior management team make a concerted effort to improve company culture and employee satisfaction through recognition year over year. Most everyone I've interacted with at the company has been a pleasure, they find great people to hire. Engineering management puts a big emphasis on mentorship, which has been a huge benefit to my success early on and helped solidify my relationships with my team members.

Cons

Their compensation/benefits package could be better. HR is actively working on this effort. Would love to see an increase in representation of women and other races/nationalities throughout the company (U.S. based, not including the Philippines team which is already quite diverse). Particularly in Engineering roles.
