We appreciate the feedback. It’s unfortunate to hear that for you the best part about CertaSite was going home. While everyone has the right to their own opinions, according to our most recent blind company survey conducted by a third party (ERC Services, Inc.), the majority of CertaSite employees can’t say the same. They say CertaSite is a great place to work and want to be here. Nine out of 10 of our employees also believe we care about each other. So, while you have your opinion, that’s not the consensus of the majority of CertaSite employees. We’re sorry you feel that upper management uses our local branch management as scapegoats, but that is completely untrue. Like many companies with multiple locations, local management works with leadership to distribute communications, updates, and more as necessary. When there are announcements and information of a greater magnitude, leadership communicates with the company as a whole and addresses one-off issues when brought to their attention. Our leadership team cares deeply for every employee at CertaSite. Whether they are coordinating with local branches or with the company, they have the employees’ best interest at heart, always. To address your last statement, CertaSite is not hurting financially or crumbling. We have some growing and business pains like most companies, but we are in no way hurting. For the last two months, we have had the best two months of our history, and the momentum shows no sign of slowing down.

Beware

Pros

On the local level, everyone cares about each other - from the techs to the sales reps. Coworkers are very helpful, and truthfully want to help their branch be the best they can possibly be.

Cons

Everything else. It is truthfully shocking that the PE company has not stepped in and cleaned out the C Suite. The CEO laid off multiple employees, but he didn’t do it himself. He made the local GM’s and regional sales leaders do this. They were told that they would be brought back in after a month of being furloughed. None of that happens. Don’t be surprised when your pay is cut while the CEO is staying in 5 star hotels and treating the C Suite to $1000 dinners. I honestly respect the way leadership can lie to all of their employees. I would have a hard time sleeping by, but they seem to be doing ok.

We recognize there are different views about decisions made at our company. Our leadership team does not make any of these decisions lightly, but we do, however, feel the need to correct misinformation when it’s placed on a public platform. The accusations made above are not only untrue but appear to be a personal attack on our CEO and leadership team. We understand and respect not everyone has the perfect employee experience, but to make inaccurate statements on a public platform is taking it a bit far. Many of your comments are based on your personal opinion and not factual details of the business. As an account executive, one would not be privy to all business decisions and details that go into any decision made at the company. As someone who was not privy to those particular decisions, it’s not appropriate to make assumptions, which is exactly what is outlined in the review above. While we had hoped to bring all furloughed employees back, we never told them they would be brought back. There are no lies being told, people misinterpret things constantly, but our leadership team is transparent and always has our employee’s best interest at heart.

Right Idea, Wrong Leadership

Pros

Work life balance is great. The VP of Sales respects your personal time, while promoting a competitive sales environment. The Regional Sales Managers are a great resource and always available for questions or concerns. The tenured technicians that remain are knowledgeable and always willing to help.

Cons

Everything else. Our compensation plan was changed (by the CEO) 6 times in 20 months. Each time paying less and less money and demanding higher quotas. The C suite in this company is a complete mess. The CEO can't forecast past the next month, let along for the future of the company. He thinks every employee is replaceable and puts zero effort into retaining top level talent. Actions speak louder than words, although he loves to talk about how much he cares (CEA), he turns around and cuts pay, denies raises, lays off dozens of employees and then spends thousands on useless sponsorships and horrific marketing ventures. He will blame COVID, and then brag about being back to pre-covid sales. The rest of the C suite simple looks out for themselves and treat other employees as if they were beneath them. All while not being able to make a single decision, without the blessing of the CEO. Another former employee commented on the political leanings of our C suite and CertaSite commented back. Again, the truth is in the actions of the C suite. Look past their grammatically absent posts on LinkedIn and read what they are commenting on, liking and responding too. I lean to the right, but I don't think its ethical for CEO's, VP's and other C suite members to comment on political hot buttons. Their focus should be on creating an inclusive and collaborative culture, but instead they create a divisive work environment that forces employees to watch what they say or do around certain managers. I'm sure this C suite thinks Diversity is an old Spanish Wood Ship.... To further put this into prospective, in the past year and a half this company has had Directors (more than 1), GM's, Corporate Controllers, Former Company Owners, Regional Sales Managers and tons of technicians resign and move on. If you are truly considering taking a job here, ask for their 12 & 24 month turnover report, it will shock you.

It is a disappointment to see this former employee make such exaggerated comments. While we respect we’re not perfect and everyone doesn’t have the employee experience we’d like them to have, the accusations in this review are untrue. Like most companies, we were dealt many challenges brought by the pandemic and are still navigating these troubled waters as business ramifications are still every present. This former employee did not have actual insight into what the leadership team faced, making the last two years the most difficult in their careers. Our turnover is very much in line with what other companies see in our industry as well as the business services segment in particular. Our leadership team does not make any decision lightly and we are constantly evaluating the impact of changes we make and do our best to address any issues when they are identified. As for the political references, our employees and leadership team are free to support whomever they choose. We do have a social media policy and all employees, leadership team included, must abide by it. Politics are not brought into the office by our leadership team, and a political agenda is not pushed by CertaSite or by our leadership team. If any employee ever feels uncomfortable about activity on a social media site, they should speak with their manager or HR. We sincerely hope they would bring up their concerns so it could be addressed in a timely manner. The comments and opinions referencing CertaSite's CEO, in particular, above are distinctly untrue and we would invite anyone to review his history and personal commitment to his business, community, and church. His career, to date, would never be possible if these comments were typical of his character and business decision making. We’re sorry you felt this way about your time at CertaSite.
