Good place to advance your career

Pros

Company keeps up on latest trends in technology. Keep their employees up to date with latest tools like msdn, photoshop, test studio, etc. Management pushes the organization creatively and architecturally and refuses to stagnate like a lot of tech companies do. Genuine commitment to quality and process. Coworkers are fantastic. Everyone gets along and pulls together in a crisis. There is minimal finger pointing and buck passing. Virtually non-existent dress code except for when customers are visiting. 401K and acceptable health care benefits.

Cons

Employees are held accountable for their performance. Don't expect to "lay in the cut" at ChannelNet. Management runs a tight ship and will call you out if you are slipping. If you are looking for a place to lay low and coast, this isn't the place for you. Priorities and objectives can sometimes change rapidly. I have heard rumors that executive management can be very harsh in holding middle management accountable for failings (real or imagined). Several employees have left for this reason. Telecommuting was suspended.

Pros

This is a company that is very entrepreneurial and fast moving where your contributions are noticed, appreciated and rewarded. It's a great mix of disciplines: creative, UX, development, etc. and hires some really solid people that care about their work product, and each other. I can't say enough good things about the people. I consider everyone here a personal friend. Incredible, challenging environment with great opportunity for personal and professional growth. Fun and friendly management for the most part. Strong female representation in management. The CEO is a hard-charging digital pioneer. Head of Ops, another female, keeps the place together and is always accessible and available to help clear obstacles or just hear you out. Overall great work/life balance compared to just about everywhere I have worked!

Cons

The company has experienced rapid growth and some of the issues that come with that...thus, some of the disgruntled formers you see on here (some people are apparently just born angry and disgruntled). Overall these issues have been balanced out in the time I've been here and some of the people that can't cut it are no longer there. We gotta keep being selective about the types of personalities we hire!

Pros

Work is varied and interesting Management is open, personable, and flexible Managers provide clear and reasonable goals Room for growth My coworkers are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable

Cons

My commute is longer than I would like, although I think the opportunities are worth it, and management is flexible with occasional remote work.
