Pros

They are motivated to support the client

Cons

rapid growth, disorganization, high-turnover. I had several supervisors in my time there and there was never role-clarity or consistent leadership.

Pros

There are genuine team members who are passionate and dedicated to the work and population we serve. Extremely rewarding work and you get the opportunity to directly impact a vulnerable population while forming meaningful relationships with referral sources. I loved the work I got to do for my community and hate the way things turned out internally.

Cons

It is really unfortunate how things turned out here. Mid/upper outreach leadership became extremely toxic which led to me ultimately not being happy in my role (that I truly loved). Issues were completely ignored until nearly my entire region left because of how unhappy and mistreated all of us were. Ironic that a company with such a strong mission to improve mental health neglects the mental health of their team who works tirelessly to fulfill the mission in their communities. Mid to upper management speaking negatively about my own teammates during field days and 1:1s, I am speechless at some of the comments made by our "leaders" that I heard either directly or from other teammates- extremely unprofessional and harmful. It is disheartening to me how the expectations of this job shifted so extremely from prioritizing people, relationships, and our patients to being way too salesy and frankly inauthentic (referral sources and accounts can sense when this happens and really just want to be treated as an actual human that needs to be supported in their work). I also worked so hard to build on and strategically focus on growing business within my accounts only for them to be stripped from me and given to new team members. They push growth but will dangle opportunities in front of you for months only to switch up when the time comes- these opportunities were instead set aside for new team members.

Pros

Working with talented, caring individuals towards a goal that you can feel good about. Truly rewarding to help families in need gain access to treatment that could save their life.

Cons

Culture. On the outreach team, you will feel like you’re always in danger of losing your job. As a start up, CH is at the mercy of VC’s and returning on their investment. It truly feels as if the goal is to show profitability in any way, to eventually sell, and often this comes at the expense of employees. The playing field isn’t the same in all territories, so if you’re not in a highly liberal footprint in which an LGBTQ program is well received, you will struggle. And for all intents and purposes, CH is an LGTBQ+ treatment program.
