Pros

The compensation is..well...fair based on other companies. One of the, if not THE, Bank of banks in America. Branches are very nice with the best technology available. Also, they have a lot of money for advertising, etc and can push their weight around

Cons

Well they have uniforms you have to wear that are not great quality and get old quick. They micro manage a lot, to the point to where it will drive you crazy. They will tell you do something one way on Monday but change the whole program on Wednesday. They also want you to do 8 different tasks at once, and expect you to do that with every customer. The branch manager has absolutely no power and not sure why he has the title..

Pros

None really, only if it is the last option. Saturday hours are from 9 until 3 so your day is gone. Also the manager of branch gets paid on things that you don't so you have a conflict of interest right away. Like I said Chase is by far the worst large bank to work for. Only apply here if wells, bofa, etc have turned you down.

Cons

Large bureacracy, unrealistic goals, too many sales people chasing the same amount of dollars. Bad Lands End type uniforms, felt I was working at McDonalds. Investment products were bad, you were encouraged to swap mrs jones from a CD toa fixed annuity so the FA could make her thousands of dollars of commisions.

Pros

Leader in the Banking industry. Offers a retirement pension plan in addition to a 401k which most companies don't. Ability to control your income with incentives. There is room for advancement within the Chase retail side.

Cons

You become a product pusher. Sometimes I feel we don't care about the customer. It also a downside to controling your income. Base salary is lower than alot of competitors. It is extremely difficult to transfer within the company to a different line of business such as the JPMorgan side.
