Pros

Organization still strong in the midst of the financial crisis Good training program for bankers(they will train you for the series 6, 63 and life insurance licenses) There is money to be made in the compensation program

Cons

The most aggressive bankers in banking Be prepared to stand in the lobby and stalk clients The product presentation is like the McDonald's of Banking (they have a value menu!) Almost impossible to be promoted outside of retail banking Management varies by branch Goals of management and bankers differs greatly(managers have account opening quotas and bankers have commission quotas)

Pros

access to the bank clients. Sales Manager not on site. Base pay plus commission. Possible referals from the bank staff. Bi-weekly pay.

Cons

limited on products to offer. Not full discloser on pay out and actual numbers in the branch. No training at all. Back office support is very limited and poor quality.

Pros

Chase is a big name with a lot of brand recognition. There are some good people working there. There are typically a lot of opportunities to advance. The pay is decent, and the bonuses can really add up if you're good at your job.

Cons

A lot will depend on your manager. Unfortunately I had a district manager who offered no support and blamed all of the district's shortcomings on his branch managers. We were all "thrown under the bus" like this on a regular basis and as such morale amongst managers was very low. There is almost no respect for employees, and everyone's jobs are threatened on almost a daily basis. If you work in the Chase retail world expect to do exactly what you are told with no question, and if you don't like it they'll just replace you.
