Pros

You learn a great deal about the banking industry and the financials of others. A great deal of knowledge can be learned from talking to the other positions in the bank, for example the financial advisor and loan officer.

Cons

there is room for advancement but it takes sometimes longer then one would like. Raises need to be better apportioned.

Pros

Good opportunity for advancement if you stick around. Turnover tends to be high, especially at the lower end, so if you can do a good job and stick around you're likely to get promoted. Bonus structure is better than most other retail banks.

Cons

The high turnover rate can extend to managers as well, this leads to frequent changes in management that may not be beneficial to lower workers.
