Pros

Competitive compensation, great training for acquiring your series 6, 63, life and health, mostly intelligent co-workers with a degree from college

Cons

Consistently pressured to do above and beyond what's reasonable, Management is never satisfied, no opportunity to grow without your manager's approval (if manager is greedy and needs higher production. you will never move up), many empty promises, no salary increases "EVER", commission structure goes down every year

Pros

Great balance of products and financial strength. The Personal banker position is the flagship position for the Branch. You have to be outgoing and love talking to customers all day. The pay is ok, starting pay varies by area/geographic region probably. The company makes careful decisions and changes are made to benefit the company for the future

Cons

Depending on your manager this good be a great job or a horrible one. You are sometimes micromanaged if you are not aggressive or productive. I was productive so I didn't have this problem. Most large companies have the same downside, you are a number, a machine and you cease being a human when you start with them. It's all about the numbers

Pros

Chase is a big company and there is room for growth assuming you want to work in Ohio. Chase is a great place to work if you are a teller or a relationship banker but being a manager here is completely undesirable.

Cons

Pay is relatively low and hours are long. Expect to work 50 hour work weeks or more. The branches are given goals no one can meet. Only 10% of employees receive a bonus. Pay is based entirely on production. Goals are adjusted monthly so it is impossible to keep track of where you stand. I do not recommend working for Chase.
