Pros

Benefits, Stability, good place for someone just starting out in sales.

Cons

Too many Chiefs with their own agendas. Branch manager's bonus is based on checking accounts and personal bankers make the most with investments. This I feel creates a conflict of goals. If checking accounts are that important then personal bankers should get paid more for checking accounts. Management does not value people in personal banker position.

Pros

We know as employees that we are working for a very sound financial company. That lends a certain degree of job security to what we do. Also, while it is a very sales driven culture to work in which can be stressful, you do know exactly where you stand performance wise. Since it is very numbers driven, it is very cut and dry as to whether management believes you're doing a good job...you meet goal you're doing good, if you don't meet goal you're not. Also, JPMorgan Chase is a top flight organization when it comes to technology and tools for their employees.

Cons

There is no attempt to even hide the fact that everything is driven by your sales numbers. This push for sales can be at times very stressful and allows little leeway for other factors that may lead to more job happiness, such as acknowledment for a good job, etc. Also, management is chosen for having been able to produce at their sales goals in their pre-management role. While this is certainly done on a fair and equal basis, that isn't necessarily mean that a top salesperson is going to make a great or even good manager.

Pros

layed back atmosphere and great vacation plan 4 weeks plus 2 days PH and all holidays including banking holidays easily making for 5 weeks a year. Benefits are tops compared to most companies. They offer discounts for chase products to employees.

Cons

no support in training. They say there is a certain amount per employee for training but when asking for training, get the cold shoulder. Too much politics and red tape. When working with different and dependent groups there is no team work or sense that everyone is working as a team. Each different group only cares about themselves and not the mission and company as a whole. It seems there that people that do nothing get reward the same or more.
