Pros

Benefits are good, only required to work 40 hours a week as a banker,

Cons

Promotions don't always seem to be given out based on performance or to people who deserve them. Communication from upper management is not always great. It is a sales position but there is a lot of pressure to get people to sign up for stuff they will not use or need. If you don't get people to do more than just checking upper management jumps all over you, and when you do do a good job they are always looking for something else to complain about.

Pros

Pay for performance. If you perform, you get taken care of and that's it. You are accountable for your branch's performance, good or bad. Two sides to that sword but it makes good business sense. My boss is great. She got me into the right position and manages me effectively. I do not feel micromanaged nor unsupported, it's just right.

Cons

Retaining high quality employees is difficult. Providing quality customer service has been ignored in the past and has been addressed. We still have a long way to go but are making great strides.
